FTTH Activity Process – End-to-End Execution
  1. Building Survey & Home Pass Calculation
Our team visits the building to conduct a detailed survey and assess the total Home Pass count.
We communicate with the building secretary to explain the benefits of Jio high-speed network connectivity for residents.
  2. Approval & Coordination with Operator
After obtaining approval from the building secretary, we inform Jio’s engineering team.
A Jio engineer visits the site with our team and provides the go-ahead for work commencement.
  3. Internal Cabling & Infrastructure Setup
Our team starts by installing PVC pipes for internal cabling.
We then pull the fiber cable through the installed conduits.
Following this, our team installs FDC (Fiber Distribution Cabinet), FAT (Fiber Access Terminal), and performs S1 & S2 connectivity work.
  4. Splicing & Connectivity
The splicing team ensures accurate fiber splicing for seamless connectivity.
If OSP (Outside Plant) work is incomplete, our team provides aerial connectivity (building-to-building via terraces) and completes splicing.
If OSP is ready, we pull fiber from underground ducts to the building.
  5. Quality Work & Clean Execution
All tasks are executed with proper safety standards and cleanliness.
After completion, we collect and dispose of all scrap material in dustbins, leaving the site neat and clean.
  6. Final Verification & Handover
After work completion, we invite the building secretary and Jio engineer for inspection and feedback.
The site is then handed over to the O&M team on the same day for ongoing maintenance.
FTTH O&M Process – End-to-End Support
  1. Fault Detection & Logging
Continuous monitoring of the FTTH network through NOC alerts and customer complaints.
Fault tickets are generated and immediately assigned to the nearest FRT team.
  2. Rapid Response by FRT
Our Fault Repair Team (FRT) is dispatched to the site within SLA time.
Each FRT team is equipped with:
    – Splicing Machine
    – OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer)
    – Fiber Tools & Safety Equipment
  3. On-Site Diagnosis
Perform OTDR testing and visual inspection to identify the fault (fiber cut, joint issue, damaged FAT, etc.).
Verify the integrity of the duct, termination points, and connectors.
  4. Repair & Restoration
Splicing of fiber at fault points to restore connectivity.
Replace damaged cables or FAT/FDC components if needed.
For severe OSP damage, civil team support is mobilized for excavation or duct repositioning.
  5. Preventive Maintenance
    Scheduled checks on:
    – FAT & FDC boxes for dust and water ingress
    – Cable slack management
    – Sealing of entry points
    – Maintain proper labelling and documentation
  6. Reporting & Handover
After fault rectification, service is tested and verified.
A closure report with OTDR trace is generated.
Site is handed back to NOC for monitoring.
